DoorDash is now delivering home items from Best Buy
47-year-old corporation Best Buy is the first national consumer electronics retailer available on the DoorDash marketplace
I knew it was going to be a challenge getting custom blinds into my car. But when I bought my condo unit, my first priority was getting rid of those horrendous rose-colored blinds I saw during the walk-through. They reminded me of a dusty bottle of Pepto Bismol, and I had no interest in living in a Barbie World.
Still, my cream and tan custom blinds were too long to lay flat from the front of my car to the back, but they weren’t big enough for me to need a truck. I’d had this problem with my car before — big enough to fit something very large but had to be arranged in such a way that driving was an experience, to say the least.
I did get all three sets of those custom blinds to fit, by hanging them out of the passenger side window, folding the side mirror in and making sure I always stayed in the right-hand lane so no one could accidentally swipe me. I couldn’t have been more relieved to make my way from the hardware store to home.
After the window decor experience, then came the next task: electronics. I had to figure out how to get my grandfather’s massive television and TV stand into my home. The entertainment center was as wide as my car. I gave in and hired two movers (again, after the other set of movers had already moved in the rest of my furniture) and hopped into the driver’s side of another delivery truck.
The whole time, I kept thinking there must be an easier way to do this. I’d been wanting a newer television for quite some time. And I could’ve ordered it from Best Buy and tried to get a Special Delivery and a haul away of my old TV via Geek Squad. But this TV was free. And for other homeowners (or renters) who don’t have family members or movers ready to pack up a car and deliver items any time you feel like it, specifically items that do not require Geek Squad installation, online ordering can become a task. I opted for my grandfather’s TV and decided I’d make a third trip on my own for additional retail and electronic needs.
Best Buy has found a better solution to at least one of three problems I had in my early interior design days. In a new press release from Business Wire, Best Buy is the first national consumer electronics retailer available on the DoorDash marketplace. The delivery company will be delivering more than just food from restaurants. They’re now delivering thousands of products from Best Buy via the DoorDash marketplace app or website directly to your doorstep.
To kick off this new deal, consumers can get $15 off Best Buy orders of $55+ using code BEST15. DashPass members can get $25 off Best Buy orders of $55+ using code BEST25.
